This was a nice surprise, to find my artwork on the cover of The Gourd magazine! It's the quarterly journal of the American Gourd Society. Otto has been a contributing editor for the last year, writing about growing gourds in upstate New York. He submitted this photo to go with the article, but it ended up on the cover. I've done it! I've quit my "day job"! I loved my work in women's health and I loved my colleagues and coworkers.... but in the studio, I DANCE ! And it's not even a dancing studio! So as of today you can find me full-time at Gourdlandia. Leaping and doing pirouettes. I'll have more time to make lamps (when I'm not dancing), I'll venture into musical instruments, I'll sell my work on line, and I hope to tap in to our amazing farm-to-table culture here in the Finger Lakes r
